About Me Website in Pink Olive Green Bro

I'm so excited to meet you! I'm an Atlanta based actor, singer, dancer, musician, Shakespeare nerd, and theatre educator, as well as a freshman at Kennesaw State University, where I'm pursuing my degree in Musical Theatre! I love all things PINK, Taylor Swift, and spreading glitter and positivity! I believe all the best things in life happen through joyful collaboration. When I'm not onstage, I enjoy playing my bedazzled accordion and strumming my good ol' cowboy chords on my autoharp, as well as helping to teach theatre to young artists through Atlanta Public Schools, and wearing the most impractical heels I can find for any occasion!

Eden will be back performing on The Fox Theatre's stage for the second year in a row as part of their Halloween Ghost Tours, singing some Phantom of the Opera accompanied by their theatrical pipe organ, Mighty Mo!

Oh, I'm so glad you asked! I've been passionate about Shakespeare and Shakespearean studies since I was fourteen... yes, I'm a nerd. One thing I noticed pretty early on, as a hyper-femme person, was the tendency of Shakespearean scholars to all too often overlook or ignore the pervasive themes of gender identity -- especially femme gender identity -- in the Bard's work. So, at fifteen, I launched my blog, SparklyShakespeare! There I advocate for the importance of centering female voices and narratives in classical theatre, and share my many many thoughts on the way gender underscores all of Shakespeare's history plays (and really his whole canon as a whole, but I'm a sucker for R3/the H6 cycle!). I have been lucky enough to have spent the last four summers under the mentorship of the educational team at the Atlanta Shakespeare Tavern, furthering my love for Shakespeare, and experimenting with how to tell old stories in a way that resonates with today's youth and celebrates the myriad of beautiful identites present in our world and our city! I'm all about feminist classical theatre -- especially Shakespeare -- and all about being the Elle Woods/Barbie of Shakespeare academia, with my bedazzled copy of the Complete Works and pink glitter gel pens in tow!

My personal motto!! To me, being the sparkly pink stiletto in a room full of beige crocs means always showing up as the fullest and most fabulous version of yourself, refusing to shrink to others' expectations, and celebrating the uniqueness and magic of those around you! I think that when you show up into a space being unapologetically you, you allow others to feel comfortable being unapologetically them. There is no one like you, that is your magic! I love you, and want to see every part of your gorgeous soul in it's most uninhibited form!
